Description: A vampire who went to sleep in 1969 is awaken 26 years later. Boya meets a cab driver who is in trouble with some criminals and a all night donut shop clerk. He tries to help both with their problems and tries to fight the hunger that is building inside of him. He eventually falls in love with the all night donut shop clerk, but she ends up seeing him in a violent rage while taking care of some criminals. The embarrassment of this rage causes Boya to contemplate his life.
Gore/Violence: This movie did not have much of anything in the movie. There is some violence in the movie, especially with the criminals, but nothing too extreme. Boya doesn't feed on humans, so he spends most of the movie feeding on rats. There is blood of course but not that much for a vampire movie.
Body Count: The body count is not that high in the movie. A couple of people die in the movie, but most of the deaths happen at the end of the movie which plays a huge role in Boya's decision at the end of the movie.
Nudity & Sexuality: Nothing in this movie.
Death Scenes: Death scenes were not creative at all. This guy is a vampire, so he could have done some crazy stuff, but nothing like that happened in the movie.
Acting/Storyline: I really thought the storyline was creative in the movie. The movie takes a new approach to the vampire genre and covers a vampire that has emotions. Its apparent from the beginning of the movie, that its not going to be a blood bath, but a very thoughtful story. By the end of the movie you feel for Boya and how embarrassed he is of what he is. He tries very hard in the movie to control is hunger and violence but by the end of the movie it just got the best of him. I really thought the ending was a good way to end such a creative movie.
On the negative side, the movie isn't that exciting. There is nothing in the movie that really draws you in. Its really hard to describe, but the only good thing about this movie is the storyline. The acting is over done, the action sequences were not that good, I guess what I'm saying is the execution of the storyline was bad.
Final Rating: Its too bad that this movie had more misses than hits because it did have a creative storyline which most movies lack. I did enjoy it at some points in the movie but most of the time I was checking the clock to see how much was left in the movie. I recommend this movie only if you are looking for something different, otherwise passed this one by.
