Description: A group of teenagers decide to play a prank at the 4th of July Fair involving a man with a hook called "The Fisherman". The idea for the prank came from a newspaper clipping from years ago that describes a series of murders that were committed by a man with a hook. Unfortunately, the prank went wrong and a friend died during the prank. Instead of telling the police what really happened, the teenagers decide to blame the man with the hook. For a year the police tried to track down "The Fisherman" with no luck. Now a year later, a person is stalking the teenagers, threatening revenge on July 4th, a year after the prank.
Gore/Violence: The gore is not too excessive in the movie. Of course there is a good amount of blood in the movie, but nothing too major.
Body Count: Body count is decent on the movie.
Nudity & Sexuality: Nope, absolutely no nudity in this movie.
Death Scenes: The problem with the death scenes in this movie is they're way too quick. There is really no chase between the killer and the teenagers. I wish the death scenes were extended more so the viewers can enjoy it.
Acting/Storyline: First off, I would like to say that I thought this was going to be the biggest turd that I have ever seen. I'm glad to announce that this wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I found the storyline very similar to the original one, but there is a twist near the end that makes this movie stand out from the others. Personally, I thought the surprise at the end was a very good move on the writers part. They took the original storyline and added a new twist to it to prolong the series even more if popularity allows it to. I wasn't a big fan of the series only because it was a total Scream rip off and it wasn't as good as Scream, but I thought the third movie was well done.
One thing that bugged me was some of the camera angles kind of annoyed me. Most of the movie is well shot, but some scenes have this weird flashing to it that kind of turned me off a bit.
The acting in the movie was actually well done. Never heard of anybody in the movie before, but I thought they all did a great job.
Final Rating: This movie was a big surprise for me. I thought it was going to be a waste of time, but this movie ended being one of the more enjoyable movies that I have watched recently. I really believe that this movie is worth your time.
