1408

2007 - Rated: PG-13
Runtime: 94 Minutes

Studio: Dimension Films

Director: Mikael Hafstrom

Writer(s): Matt Greenberg (screenplay),Scott Alexander (screenplay), Stephen King (Short Story)

Staring: John Cusack, Mary McCormack, Jasmine Jessica Anthony, David Nicholson

Description: A writer who has written novels about the paranormal is doing research for a new book on haunted hotels. Every hotel he has come across have not shown any signs suggesting that they are haunted until he receives a post card in the mail for the Dolphin Hotel. After a long argument with the Hotel manager, Mike Enslin finally is able to book a night in room 1408. What Mike doesn't know is that a night is more time than is needed since no one has lasted more than 1 hour in 1408.

Gore/Violence: There is some blood and some disturbing photos. The photos are used to show how violent and bloody the past deaths have been in 1408.

Body Count: I would have to say none. The daughter does die in the movie, but she was already dead to begin with so I'm not going to count it.

Nudity & Sexuality: Its a PG-13 movie so don't expect to see any nudity in this flick

Death Scenes: Nothing to describe since there are not death scenes.

Acting/Storyline: I really thought the storyline in the movie was very interesting. The movie never slowed down for on moment when Mike made the mistake of entering 1408, it was scare after scare. There were a lot of great idea's in this movie and I really thought that it is a great movie, especially being rated PG-13.

I know Big-man liked the movie but not as much as me. He didn't really like all the twists in the movie. Personally, I did not mind them at all, and I was actually on the edge of my seat waiting to see what will happen next.

The acting in the movie was top notch. There were some big names in this film and these guys are always spot on with their acting.

Final Rating: This movie is definitely worth watching. I know the rating might turn some people off, but give this movie a chance, it might actually surprise you.

Shustaines gives this movie 4/5 severed heads!
