The Hills Have Eyes
Runtime: 89 MinutesStudio: Anchor Bay
Director: Wes Craven
Writer(s): Wes Craven
Staring: Susan Lanier, Robert Houston, Martin Speer, Dee Wallace-Stone, Russ Grieve
Description: While trying to find a silver mine on their way to California the family's car goes off the road, and they break an axel. In the middle of nowhere, some family members try to go for help, but little did they know the area was inhabited by savages waiting to attack.
Gore/Violence: There is a fair bit of violence, but not too much gore in the movie. You do get to see one of the family members burning corps, but nothing special in this movie.
Body Count: A rather high body count in this movie, but the deaths are spaced out a little, so it doesn't seem like it's a killing spree.
Nudity & Sexuality: No nudity in this movie. They do have sex in the movie, but it is not focused on that, so it's not a big deal.
Death Scenes: The death scenes are not all that great. The dog gutted was pretty good, and being burnt to death was a little different, but nothing to write home about.
Acting/Storyline: The acting was just OK in this movie. Bobby sometimes seemed to have a metal deficiency, but he wasn't supposed to have one in the movie. (IE. The way he talked, and sometimes acted)
Final Rating: For being a well known movie, The Hills Have Eyes (1977) was a terrible movie. I've watched it twice, and felt like turning it off both times.
