Haunted Highway

1999 - Rated: R
Runtime: 84 Minutes

Studio: Lions Gate

Director: Junichi Suzuki

Writer(s): N/A

Staring: Rand Gamble, Hinano Yoshikawa, Laura Putney, Adrian Roberts, Adrian N. Roberts

Description: An American photographer (Gamble) has an affair with a mysterious woman, Gamble is confronted by his wife, and a fight breaks out. Gamble accidentally pushes his wife and she hits her head causing a fatal wound. Gamble tries to cover up the murder by putting the body in his trunk and take is wife up to a lake to dump her. Along the highway, Gamble is met with some very freaky apparitions which causes him to question what is real and what is not.

Gore/Violence: The movie is not really gory. There is some blood in the movie, and person is hit by a car which kind of messes her up a little, but nothing that will turn your stomach.

Body Count: The body count is very low in this movie. There is only one death in this whole movie.

Nudity & Sexuality: Nope, no nudity in this movie from what I can remember anyways. I watched this movie a while ago just didn't have time to write a review up, but I'm pretty sure there was no nudity in it.

Death Scenes: There is only one death scene in the movie and it wasn't that good. The movie does not show Gamble's wife hitting her head on the table. All you see is Gamble's wife on the floor with a pool of blood around her head which leads you to believe that she hit her head on something.

Acting/Storyline: I thought the storyline was good. I was interested enough in the storyline to keep me watching. There are some really freaky scenes in the movie especially when Gamble meets his wife's ghost on the highway. This movie had some potential but there is one downfall.

The acting was really bad. The guy who played Gamble was ok, but the person who played Gamble's mistress was terrible. I could not stand any scene she was in, this made the movie almost unbearable to watch. I've seen a lot of bad acting, but the performance from this girl really takes the cake.

Final Rating: This movie would have been a very good movie if it wasn't for the terrible acting. I recommend renting this movie just to see how bad that one chick is. If you can ignore than acting in the movie than you might actually enjoy the storyline, unfortunately I couldn't.
