Description: Eight petty criminals arrive for a weekend at the rotting Blackwell Hotel for some community service. What was thought to be abandoned is actually the home of psychopath Jacob Goodnight. What was meant to reduce their jail terms may actually be a death sentence for the group.
Gore/Violence: A lot of gore and violence in this movie. Viewers are treated with a variety of gore such as chopped off limbs, hooks jammed into corpses, bones shattering, as well as eyes being ripped out.
Body Count: High body count in this movie, and even more if you count the bodies found in the home and hotel that Jacob took up residence.
Nudity & Sexuality: Boo. They show some bum bums, but no boobies. :-(
Death Scenes: Some cool death scenes in this movie (All though I say that a lot!) There was one where a girl was dropped from the top floor with a fire hose tied to her legs with enough slack to stop right after her arm broke from the impact then some wild dogs came a ripped her apart.
Acting/Storyline: The acting reeked of inexperience, but did not affect my opinion of the movie. I've seen worse acting, so I've learned to tolerate some inexperience. The storyline wasn't too bad, but the pace of the movie seemed to be messed up.
Final Rating: I thought the movie was tolerable, and worth a watch at least once, but I wouldn't say that it was a good movie. Jacob rubbing his crotch in front of one of the girls was an awkward moment of the movie, and should have been avoided. If you watch the movie stay until after the credits. You get to see a dog pee into an eye socket! See no Evil. No see Movie. (Oh boy that was a terrible pun!)
