The Omen

June 6, 1976 - Rated: R
Runtime: 111 Minutes

Studio: 20th Century Fox

Director: Richard Donner

Writer(s): David Seltzer

Staring: Gregory Peck, Lee Remick, David Warner, Billie Whitelaw, Harvey Stephens

Description: A boy is adopted by a US ambassador and his wife after the death of their real son at birth. To his horror he find out his son is actually the son of the devil.

Gore/Violence: This movie does not have a whole lot of violence, but it has a fair amount. The boy must be stopped, and because of that violence incurs. Since it is an older movie, there is not a whole lot of gore, but there is some blood at least.

Body Count: There is actually a high body count in this movie. Probably the most know in this movie is at the beginning when the nanny commits suicide in front of Damien at his birthday party.

Nudity & Sexuality: N/A

Death Scenes: I thought there was a lot of good death scenes in this movie. At the beginning when the nanny commits suicide, that was a great death scene. A priest gets impaled with a pole, which was also a nice death scene. But the best death scene in this movie is when the photographer gets his head chopped off by a runaway truck with a pane of glass on it.

Acting/Storyline: I thought this movie had a great storyline. Nothing is more evil then the son of the devil. The acting was pretty good, but I can't stand hearing a child scream. It's so annoying.

Final Rating: I thought this was an alright movie overall. It held my attention throughout the movie, and it had some nice death scenes to make it a little better. I thought the movie had an alright movie, but could have been better. But I guess it was needed to lead on towards the other Omen movies.
