Description: A Remake of the 1979 horror movie. After going over on her cell phone limit for the month, Jill Johnson is forced to baby sit by her parents to make up for the money lost from her cell phone bill. The babysitting gig seemed routine, but after receiving threatening phone calls from an unknown caller, she came to realize that her life might be in danger.
Gore/Violence: Since this movie is PG-13, you should not expect a good slasher movie. The violence is limited to running away from the killer, except for when Jill had to get her hair ripped out in order to get away from the invader.
Body Count: Only 2 people known in the story line were killed during the movie. There were some more, but they were just referenced to give some info on the MO of the caller/killer. One was the housekeeper, and the other was Jill's friend. Both of their deaths were not shown.
Nudity & Sexuality: It's PG-13. No Boobies here.
Death Scenes: As I mentioned before, no deaths were actually shown, so don't expect cool death scenes.
Acting/Storyline: Since this was a mainstream horror movie, you usually get good acting. Nothing was over acted, so everything is OK here. The storyline is kind of old, since this is a remake of an older movie, which spun off many copycat movies that use the same storyline. The movie previews basically give away the story line. Babysitter gets prank phone calls, baby sitter gets threatening phone calls... Baby sitter is forced to run for her life.
Final Rating: I was kind of disappointed by this movie. I had high hopes for it going in, but in retrospect, I guess that is what caused my disappointment. Not much happened for the majority of the movie... Just phone calls, phone calls, a snack, and then some more phone calls. It wasn't until the last part of the movie where it started to get interesting... They had a cool house though.
