Description: A serial killer is reeking havoc in New York City at night. Every witness they encounter points to a surprising suspect....a cop. At first no one in the police force will believe that a cop is responsible for these gruesome murders except a Detective named McCrae. Now McCrae, officer Jack Forrest, and officer Teresa Mallory is out to solve the identity of the Maniac Cop and put an end to the brutal violence for good.
Gore/Violence: The movie is violent, a lot of throat slicing, stabbings, shootings, hangings. The movie is a little bit gory, there is one part in prison when they are slicing the guys face up, but nothing major.
Body Count: A very high body count in this one. There is one scene when the Maniac Cop finds his way into the police station and starts kicking police ass all over the station.
Nudity & Sexuality: A male ass crack, and no boobies to even it out. Not impressed!!
Death Scenes: Most of the death scenes are just common killings, like stabbing, shooting, or hanging. There is only one creative one where the Maniac Cop smothers his victim in newly laid cement.
Acting/Storyline: The story line is pretty good. Its about a bad ass cop who was single handily cleaning up the streets of New York. He was found guilty of violating human civil rights and they tossed him in jail with all the murders, and drug addicts that he took off the street. He was attacked and sliced up really bad. Everyone thought he was dead, but unfortunately they were wrong. Its the basic revenge story, just that he is out of control and instead of only killing the people that turned against him, he is killing everyone he meets.
The acting and dialog was kind of cheesy. Some of the dialog just didn't flow smoothly.
Final Rating: The movie is decent overall. The some of the acting and dialog is cheesy, but for some reason it kept my interest. It sort of reminded me of the Friday the 13th movies, where the movie is not scary but you cheer for the bad guy to kick some ass. Anyways, I think most horror fans will enjoy the movie.
