Thinner
Runtime: 92 MinutesStudio: Republic Pictures

Staring: Robert John Burke, Joe Mantegna, Lucinda Jenney, Michael Constantine, Kari Wuhrer.
Description: An overweight lawyer accidentally runs over an old gypsy woman who eventually dies. Now, the husband of the gypsy woman wants revenge and puts a hex on the overweight lawyer. Every day that goes by, the lawyer gets thinner and thinner and the only person who can take the hex off is the gypsy husband.
Gore/Violence: Very little gore in this one. There are a couple of scenes that were cool, the one that comes to mind is the when a gypsy woman flings an iron pellet with a slingshot right through the guy's hand. There is some blood in the movie, but not that much.
Body Count: Body count is low in this movie. The movie's main focus is on the overweight lawyer. The lawyer does hire a mob guy to attack the gypsy village, from what I could tell only one person ends up dead in that scene and about 4 people end up dead in the whole movie.
Nudity & Sexuality: On a scale from one to ten, there is zero nudity in this movie.
Death Scenes: The death scenes are not even worth mentioning.
Acting/Storyline: This movie is based on a novel by Stephen King. The storyline is interesting but the movie is sort of boring. It was interesting seeing the progression of the hex put on by the gypsy. The lawyer started out way overweight (the lawyer looked fake with make-up on, kind of reminded me of Jiminy Glick) and ended up as a weak 90 pound toothpick of a man. The problem is that there is really nothing else going on. At times I was forcing myself to sit through the movie.
The acting is alright, not the best performances thats for sure.
Final Rating: The movie is just an average horror movie. The story line was interesting but the movie just seem to be boring at times. If you are a fan of Stephen King, then by all means check this out, otherwise just skip over it, you won't be missing much.
