Fire In The Sky
Runtime: 109 MinutesStudio: Paramount
Director: Robert Lieberman

Staring: D.B. Sweeney, Robert Patrick, Craig Sheffer, Peter Berg, Henry Thomas, Bradley Gregg
Description: Travis Walton and his coworkers saw what looked to be a fire in the forest. They decided to go investigate but nothing could prepare them for what they saw. The fire turned out to be a UFO, Travis pals fled the forest, but Travis wasn't so lucky. Travis disappeared for five days, and his coworkers were under investigation for murder. This movie is based on the true events according to Travis and his coworkers.
Gore/Violence: There is not really any gore in this movie. There are some squeamish parts in the movie when Travis is being tested by the aliens.
Body Count: Absolutely no one dies in the movie.
Nudity & Sexuality: There is absolutely no nudity in the movie, which is a bummer, nothing wrong with throwing a few boobies in to keep you alert.
Death Scenes: There are no death scenes in the movie. The movie focuses more on the coworkers and the hardships that they faced while Travis was gone.
Acting/Storyline: The storyline is your common alien abduction story. What I like about the movie is that it focuses on the coworkers and towns reaction to them when Travis is missing. Everyone thinks they killed Travis; they searched for the body in the woods, gave the coworkers lie detector test (which they passed), but still no one would believe them. Travis then appears five days later at a gas station, and is freaked out from the experiences he faced on the UFO. At the end of the movie, you are still unsure if they are telling the truth, or if it was a publicity stunt to make some money.
The acting is superb in the movie. The actor's who play the coworkers do a great job to express their emotions when they leave Travis behind, and when they find out he is gone. Also, the actor who played Travis does a great job showing how the experiences from the UFO is destroying his life and driving him insane.
Final Rating: I first watched this movie as a kid and enjoyed it very much. Recently, I picked it up on DVD and enjoyed as much as I did before. Like I said above, I liked how the movie portrayed the hardships that the coworkers went through when Travis disappeared. This movie does not appeal to everyone, if you are looking for a movie that is going to scare you; this is not the movie for you, but I recommend that you rent it and check it out.
