Description: Nancy is having terrible dreams of a burnt man with knives for fingers. Her high school friends are having the same dream and end up being slaughtered in their sleep. Nancy eventually finds out that the parents of Springwood torched a child murderer alive and now he is back for revenge in their children's nightmares.
Gore/Violence: Compared to movies like Saw, or Hostel, this movie is not really gory or violent. There is a lot of blood in the movie, and some really freaky scenes.
Body Count: Body count is not too high for a slasher flick, but that's not what makes the movie great. There are about 4 death scenes in the film.
Nudity & Sexuality: Just a brief shot of nudity, nothing major.
Death Scenes: There are not too many death scenes to talk about but the first death scene of the movie is one of the best in a horror movie. Tina's boyfriend wakes up to her screaming; she gets sliced and dragged up the wall to the ceiling by an unseen force. You have to see it to appreciate it.
Acting/Storyline: The story line is awesome. Killer who stalks children in their nightmares creates an eerie feeling since everyone needs to sleep. Each nightmare scene is shot well and will keep you interested up until the ending credits.
The acting in the movie is well done. Some of the acting felt a little off key, but it didn't take anything away from the overall experience of the movie.
Final Rating: f you haven't seen this movie yet, then where the hell have you been? This movie is an amazing and is the movie that gave birth to the horror icon Freddy Kruger, go get it now!!
