Description: A new Kid moves into Springwood and is living in the house that Nancy used to live in. He starts to experience grisly nightmares of a burned man with claws. The burned man is taking over the kid's soul and using him for his guilty pleasures.
Gore/Violence: The movie is not too gory, of course there is a lot of blood in the movie. The only real gory part in the movie is when Freddy rips the skin of his skull off revealing his brain
Body Count: The first part of the movie has 2 death scenes, very slow pace for a slasher flick. Once the party scene arrives, that when the body count rises.
Nudity & Sexuality: No girly nudity. Just a man's ass in the shower for the women out there. For the rest us, skip that scene.
Death Scenes: The death scenes are just ok. The only good death happens during the party scene, where Freddy slashes a guy's face in a close up.
Acting/Storyline: The storyline is a big disappointment. It has nothing to do with the storyline that was established in the first movie. Freddy is now only haunting one person who moved into Nancy's old house. Freddy uses this kid to bring him into the real world. Its unfortunate that they dropped the ball in this department cause it could have been a good movie.
The acting is fine in the movie, nothing seems off key, or over acted.
Final Rating: If you're a Freddy Fan, you probably already seen it. This movie doesn't not live up to the original. The one thing I respect about this movie is that Freddy is still portrayed as a dark, creepy figure, unlike the later sequels where he is a stand up comedian.
