Dawn of the Dead

2004 - Rated: R
Runtime: 110 Minutes

Studio: Universal Studios

Director: Zack Snyder

Writer(s): George A. Romero, James Gunn

Staring: Sarah Polley, Ving Rhames, Jake Weber, Mekhi Phifer, Michael Kelly

Description: A remake of the 1978 original. A group of people is taking shelter at a local shopping mall for hide from the flesh eating undead that are outside the mall, trying to get it. After days, and days of staying at the mall, they soon realize that they need to get out of there. They hatch a plan to take some buses, and try to make their way out of there. But thousands of zombies await them outside.

Gore/Violence: This movie has a lot of gore and violence, just like any other zombie movie. This movie has some great gore in this movie with lots of blood and guts shown.

Body Count: Hundreds of zombies are killed in this movie, as well as some of the main characters.

Nudity & Sexuality: They try to put a booby in here and there, but nothing crazy.

Death Scenes: I find that with any zombie movie you will find great death scenes. Who doesn't like decapitating zombies? It's the survivors number 1 pass time. :-)

Acting/Storyline: Great acting from some well known actors. I loved this storyline. I love almost any zombie movie. But this one is one of the greats. This movie has nonstop action, and the change from the slow walking zombies, to running zombies was a great idea!

Final Rating: Fantastic. This movie is one of my favourites of all time. The original is a little bit better, but the fast moving zombies was an excellent idea, and a nice change from the zombies we all know and love. I would definitely say this movie should be on anyone's "To Buy List".

BiGMaN gives this movie 5/5 severed heads!
