The Woods
Runtime: 91 MinutesStudio: Sony Pictures
Director: Lucky McKee
Writer(s): David Ross
Staring: Colleen Williams, Lauren Birkell, Jane Gilchrist, Ivana Shein, Marcia Bennett
Description: Based in 1965 about and all girls school where something weird is going on in the woods surrounding the school.
Gore/Violence: There are many gory scenes in this movie. We see some bleeding, all the way to decapitations. A lot of violence goes hand-in-hand with a lot of gore. I would have to give an A+ in this category.
Body Count: Quite a high body count for this movie. It starts off extremely slow with no one dieing, but then at the end it's a bloodbath.
Nudity & Sexuality: ummmm.... nope, didn't see anything worth mentioning.
Death Scenes: Different. That's one thing I could say about some of the death scenes in this movie. You do have your basic decapitations, but you get even more in this movie. I don't really want to give away the ending, but the deaths are interesting.
Acting/Storyline: I found the acting superb. Everyone had done an excellent job of portraying his or her character perfectly. The storyline is different, but not bad actually. I did get annoyed a bit at certain parts where they could have fought harder to escape but didn't, but it played an important part of the storyline.
Final Rating: This movie is not one I would care to watch again, but I would defiantly recommend that you rent it once to experience the movie. Movies like this usually annoy me, but I have nothing against it. Great gore and acting make this movie pretty good. Give it a shot.
