The Return
Runtime: 85 MinutesStudio: Rogue Pictures
Director: Asif Kapadia
Writer(s): Adam Sussman
Staring: Sarah Michelle Gellar, Peter O'Brien, Sam Shepard, Kate Beahan, Adam Scott
Description: Joanna Mills, a tough young Midwesterner determined to learn the truth behind the increasingly terrifying supernatural visions that have been haunting her.
Gore/Violence: Not really a gory movie. It's mostly driven by its unique storyline.
Body Count: A couple people die in this movie, but significant to the storyline. One is a girl that Joanna has been having visions of.
Nudity & Sexuality: Nope.
Death Scenes: Not really any good death scenes. There is a struggle, then death.
Acting/Storyline: I usually HATE movies where crazy people have visions, but this one was a little different. The ending is what changed my mind about this movie. If it weren't for the twist, it would be a bad movie. The storyline is fairly simple, but complex. Joanna has visions from a town that she has never been to. When she finds it she starts to investigate.
Final Rating: This movie was not the greatest throughout the movie, but redeemed itself at the end a bit. It was a very weird movie where crazy Joanna has visions, and cuts herself occasionally. At the end we learn the reason for this, and it was a pretty cool explanation.
